G-C duo wins diving titles

The top eight finishers in the HHC girls diving competition.

Greenfield-Central’s Benjamin Rader and Maci Montgomery won the Hoosier Heritage Conference diving titles Thursday night in an event held at Greenfield-Central.

Rader tallied 500.55 points to win the boys event, with Yorktown’s Joey Ulrich second and Delta’s Sam Bennett third.

Montgomery tallied a score of 371.2 to win the girls event, ahead of Sophia Fonacier of Pendleton Heights and New Palestine’s Karen Shriver.

The scores from Thursday’s diving events will be added to the scores from Saturday’s swimming events, which begin at 11 a.m. at New Palestine’s natatorium.
