The Hoosier Heritage Conference cross country meet is set for Saturday morning at Blue River Park in Shelbyville.
The park is located at 725 Lee Boulevard in Shelbyville. To get there from the north, take I-74 to the SR 44 exit. After exiting, go straight onto Lee Boulevard behind the Walmart, and then follow to the park. To get there from the east, take SR 44 to Lee Boulevard and turn north. Parking will be tight due to a softball tournament also being held that day.
Spectators should plan to enter from Lee Blvd. coming from the south. Parking is $5 per car and exact change is appreciated, with parking available around the splash pad building and softball diamonds. No personal or school vehicles are allowed beyond the parking lot or fairgrounds.
The boys race begins at 9:15 a.m. with the girls race at 10 a.m. and the JV race to follow.
Pendleton Heights is the defending boys and girls champion.
Other notes: Pets are not allowed within 75 meters of the course from two hours before the race to one hour afterwards. Restroom facilities are available in permanent buildings on the course. Spectators are not allowed in or near the finish chute. Note that parking is a distance from the start and finish areas, so plan for a walk.
