Athletes of the Week
Boys cross country: Milan Jones, Pendleton Heights
Jones ran 16:14.26 to finish seventh at the prestigious FlashRock Invitational, finishing ahead of teammate Luke Upton by less than a second. He helped the Arabians to a seventh-place finish in the championship flight.
Girls cross country: Brenna Shaw, New Palestine
Shaw ran 19:57 in the championship flight at the FlashRock Invitational. She helped New Palestine finish sixth. She also was the individual champion at the Whiteland Invitational earlier in the week.
Boys tennis: Matthew True, New Palestine
True won his 70th career match and clinched his fourth consecutive Hancock County championship at No. 1 singles with two straight-set victories.
