Players of the Week

Week 4: Lexi Shelton, Mt. Vernon

Shelton had 23 points on 7-of-10 shooting and 6-6 from the line in the Marauders’ victory over Hamilton Heights.

Week 3: Cameron Tabor, New Castle

Tabor averaged 32.5 points per game over the week, leading the Trojans to a weekend sweep against Delta and Muncie Central.

News and notes

Last week featured a number of strong performances. Among them, Yorktown’s Elizabeth Reece had 13 points in a 33-30 victory over Delta. Hannah Farrell had 22 points for Greenfield-Central in an overtime loss to Hamilton Heights. Kailyn Graham had 24 points and eight rebounds for Pendleton Heights in a 76-41 victory over Shelbyville. Cameron Tabor had 24 points and 10 boards in New Castle’s contest against Warsaw.

PH moved to the top of the HHC standings with a 76-41 victory over Shelbyville Friday. The Arabians are now 4-0 in league play.

New Castle’s Cameron Tabor was named an IBCA Player of the Week from Week 3 for her performance against Muncie Central and Delta. She had 35 points and 15 rebounds against Delta.

Mt. Vernon and New Palestine will play their first HHC games this week, as MV meets PH Saturday. NP faces New Castle Tuesday and travels to Delta Saturday. The Dragons play six conference games before Christmas break.

HHC teams are 24-14 against non-conference foes this season.
