The Greenfield-Central Cougars won the second HHC baseball title in the school’s history, and the first since 2013, this season.
G-C went 11-3 to clinch the HHC championship by two games over runners-up Pendleton Heights and New Palestine, who were both 9-5. Delta and Mt. Vernon tied for fourth with 8-6 records.
The teams enter sectional play this weekend, with G-C, MV and PH all in a 4A sectional at Pendleton Heights. New Palestine will host its own 4A sectional, while Shelbyville will travel to East Central. In 3A, Delta, New Castle and Yorktown all compete at Blackford.
