Players of the Week
Offense: Charlie Spegal, Delta
The state’s top rusher, Spegal had another huge game with 43 carries, 353 yards and six TDs in Delta’s 56-49 win over New Castle.
Defense: Sam Lewis, Shelbyville
Lewis had three interceptions in the Golden Bears’ 29-28 victory over Yorktown, including one that sealed the game.
Special teams: Max Burhenn, Mt. Vernon
Burhenn blocked a punt and returned it 65 yards for a touchdown in the Marauders’ loss to Pendleton Heights.
