Congratulations to the Players of the Week
Kenzie Knuckles, Yorktown: Knuckles had 66 kills over four matches during the opening week, including 30 in a four-set matchup against Avon in a duel between the defending Class 3A champs and a perennial 4A power.
Melani Shaffmaster, New Castle: Shaffmaster had a big all-around week, with 35 kills, 34 digs, 84 assists and 13 aces in four matches as the Trojans went 3-1 to open the year, including a three-set win over conference rival Delta.
