HHC announces 2021-22 all-conference girls basketball team

Two players from Hoosier Heritage Conference champion Pendleton Heights and three from sectional champion Mt. Vernon highlight the 2021-22 All-Hoosier Heritage Conference girls basketball team.

The All-Conference team features the league’s top six scorers – New Palestine’s Isabella Gizzi (20.5 ppg), Shelbyville’s Kylee Edwards (17.2 ppg), New Castle’s Maddy Meek (16.5 ppg), Pendleton Heights’ Kaycie Warfel (15.7 ppg), Greenfield-Central’s Chaney Brown (15.5 ppg) and NP’s Alaina Miller (14.6 ppg). It also features conference assists leader Abi Rosenkrans of Pendleton Heights (3.2 apg). Gizzi also led the conference in steals (3.1 spg).

The 13-player team includes players from all eight HHC schools. It is comprised of five seniors, four juniors, two sophomores and two freshmen.

Pendleton Heights’ Chad Cook was named Coach of the Year after leading the Arabians to their first conference title since 2018.
